Lowell Hawthorne was CEO of Golden Krust Caribbean Bakery & Grill, a Jamaican, West Indian and Caribbean cuisine fast food chain based in the Bronx, New York.

Hawthorne was born in Jamaica. His father, Ephraim Hawthorne started the original Golden Krust in St. Andrews, Jamaica.

In 1989, Hawthorne launched the first Golden Krust Caribbean Bakery & Grill in the Bronx.

In 2016, Hawthorne was featured in an episode of Undercover Boss on CBS, in which he stated that some of his chefs “aren't on the same cookbook page.” ^[0]

In November 2017, Hawthorne committed Suicide in the Golden Krust factory in the Bronx.
