Lourdes Del Rio is a correspondent for Noticiero Univision.[1][2]
Education
Del Rio earned a bachelor's degree in public communication from the University of Puerto Rico, graduating Magna cum laude in 1986.
Career
For 18 years Del Rio has worked with Univision where she serves as a correspondent for the national newscast in Miami, covering different news events such as the presidential elections, the terrorist attacks of September 11, and more recently the 2016 Orlando nightclub shooting.[5]
She was also the only journalist who was able to broadcast live, in Spanish, the devastation left by the historic Hurricane Katrina.[6] During the last 25 years, Del Río has extensively reported on the migration crisis inside and outside the United States, especially in the Caribbean.
