On November 9, 2016 more than 10 shots were reported at Los Angeles Valley College.

The Shooting Reports

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) responded to a call about shots fired on the Los Angeles Valley College campus in the 5600 block of Fulton Avenue in Van Nuys, Los Angeles at 6:55 p.m. on November 9. [0]

The campus was pur on lockdown.

The LAPD maintained a heavy presence and searched the area, however, nothing had been found.

The sound of gunshots sent people running, but officers have found no evidence of a shooting — and no victims, LAPD Officer Tony Im told City News Service.

Students said they heard as many as 10 shots near the middle of the LAVC campus, according to a report obtained by CBS2.

Police were looking for the possible shooter in buildings near Fulton Avenue and Burbank Boulevard.

The Los Angeles Fire Department reported that 50 firefighters responded to the campus to assist the police agencies involved.

While Los Angeles police patrol the surrounding area, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is responsible for security on the LAVC campus.
