Personal Life
She was born August 12, 1945 in Isleworth, West London to Edward Nelson Murphy abd his wife the former Iris Minnie Hicks.
Growing up she has a passion for dance.
Beginning her working life she started as an au pair to a family that has four young children.
Moving to secretarial work, eventually through a temp agency she found her true calling with the auction house Sotheby Parke-Bernet.
Major Claim to Fame
Became the First Famale Fine Art Auctioneer in America at Sotheby's in New York.
Missionary Work
Lorna became close with Mother Theresa and the work of Missionaries of Charity.
She traveled regularly to help and support he sisters in thier leper centers, clinics, orphanages and feeding centers at the various locations and countries.
During the occupation she escorted a sister from Sinai to Gaza.
Public Speaker and Philanthropist
Her Ted Talks were quite popular and she was known to have raise enormous for charity.
