Lizeth Ruby Ruiz is a 23 year old woman from Gainesville, Georgia which is near Atlanta, Georgia.

Disappearance

Lizeth Ruby Ruiz was reported missing late in the night on Wednesday May 18, 2016 near Lake Lanier in Lanier Point Park in Gainesville, Georgia. Lanier Point Park is located off Dawsonville Highway (Hwy. 53.) in Gainesville, Georgia. Before going missing Lizeth was socializing with a group of friends at the park.

Authorities are searching land and water in the area.

Searches began Wednesday May 18, 2016 night and resumed the next day.

The police department, fire departments from Gainesville and Hall County, the Hall County Sheriff’s Office and the Department of Natural Resources are searching for Lizeth.

The park has been closed by the U.S.

Army Corps of Engineers.

On May 27, 2016 the search for Lizeth Ruby Ruiz by Gainesville Police was suspended. On May 28, 2016 a group of boaters found a woman's body in the area that police were searching however the identity of the body has not been found yet.
