Liz McLaughlin is an American journalist based in Charlotte, North Carolina.

She is a specials reporter and producer at NBC News, covering technology, consumer, medical & feature stories.

McLaughlin graduated from University of North Carolina Asheville with a Bachelor's degree in journalism.

She went on to attend University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, receiving a Master's degree in journalism and mass communication.

She has interned with NBC News in New York and with ABC 11 Eyewitness News in Durham, NC.

McLaughlin was awarded the ABC/ Walt Disney Scholarship in 2010.
