Lili Loofbourow is an American journalist based in Oakland, California. She is a staff writer at Slate (magazine), where writes about media criticism, fiction, essays, academic criticism, culture, gender and politics. ^[1]

Lili Loofbourow graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor's degree in Psychobiology, English, and music. She went on to attend University of Alabama, where she received a Master's degree in creative writing.

Lili Loofbourow won VQR’s 2015 Staige D. Blackford Prize for Nonfiction.
