Lil Opioid (Nicholas Albright Bowman) (born July 22, 2002) is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, producer, poser and businessperson from Indianapolis, Indiana. Nicholas initially gained recognition after dropping his hit single ‘Bands’; intent on pursuing his career in music he followed his hit single with his groundbreaking EP known as ‘Shanghai Dreams’ which set his career for future success. Apparently music success was not all he wanted to achieve, after dropping ‘Shanghai Dreams’ Nicholas founded the successful music marketing company known as “Hip-Hop Junkies” Nicholas has marketed for some of the biggest names in Hip-Hop such as T-pain, DRAM, and Lil Yachty; In doing so “Hip-Hop Junkies” is estimated to generate $4,600,000 USD annually. As of April 14, 2020, Nicholas Albright Bowman’s Net Worth is estimated to be $2,200,000 USD. He is one of the highest paid 17 year old’s in the world**.**

Career

Nicholas Bowman started his early career by adopting the stage name 'RichKidNick'.

Nicholas was struggling with pills around this time, while struggling he had adopted the name we all know him by ‘Lil Opioid’.

In an interview, Nicholas was asked “Why the name Lil Opioid?” Nicholas replied, “At the time of choosing a new name it fit me, I was addicted to opioids and didn’t want to be alive.

So I guess I just put two and two together and Lil Opioid was born” Nicholas first started making music as a coping method.

In late 2018, he released his controversial hit single "Stars".

The song had obtained 100,000 streams on all platforms within 2 weeks of its release.

Nicholas had started to gain an active audience therefore pushing him to stay motivated and keep pursuing music.

In early 2019, Nicholas had released his single titled "Red Lights" which he explained his motive to run away from home.

On January 21, 2019, Nicholas ran away from home and was off to Fort Myers, Florida. After doing shows at nightclubs, bars, and small music festivals. Nicholas had returned home and was stopped by the police and was issued an appearance with a probation officer scheduled for the following Monday.

Monday, February 11th Nicholas was detained pending federal runaway charges.

Nicholas later plead guilty to his charges and was sentenced to 6-9 months at a Youth Facility Center in Muncie, Indiana. He completed the program and was released on December 20th, 2019. While in the program, he was granted weekend home passes, which enabled him to come home for the duration of the weekend. After heavily pursuing music while incarcerated Nicholas booked a studio session at 416 WABASH in Indianapolis, Indiana for the following weekend. Nicholas recorded his hit single "Bands" produced by Mitch Lohman. After making a huge breakthrough and success, his single became a critical component of success for the young artist. After dropping his groundbreaking EP ‘Shanghai Dreams’ Lil Opioid founded a music marketing company known as “Hip-Hop Junkies LLC" which is still a massive success for the young entrepreneur and music artist. With his company grossing an estimated $4.6 Million annual revenue.

After being released, Lil Opioid has had performances with King Louie (Grammy-Nominated Rapper), $avage (FGE; Montana of 300), JayDaYoungan (Platinum Artist), and Yungeen Ace (Gold Artist).

Personal Life

Nicholas Albright Bowman "Lil Opioid" was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on the 22nd of July, 2002. Nicholas grew up in a wealthy family throughout his childhood. He is the son of Acclaimed Stock Investor and Entrepreneur Scott Bowman. Nicholas still attends Yorktown High School where he first started his career as a musician. He pursued his music career at the beginning of 2018 when he started to attend the prestigious military boarding school known as "Missouri Military Academy".

Influences

Nicholas has cited several hip hop artists as influencing his rapping style, including his long-term friend Lil Mosey, and other artists such as Juice WRLD and A Boogie wit da Hoodie. Nicholas has also credited several dancehall artists for later influencing his upbeat-inflected style, including Popcaan, whom he has called one of his "biggest inspirations"
