Lian Zaher Nasser was a 19-year-old woman from the Israeli Arab city of Tira. ^[1]

On December 31st, Nasser and her friends celebrated New Year's Eve at the Reina NightClub in Istanbul. Her dad was initially concerned about her going because he thought Turkey was not safe. ^[undefined]

At 1:15 am, terrorists disguised in Santa costumes open fired in the nightclub it what became to be known as the 2017 Istanbul nightclub attack. Nasser was fatally wounded from gunfire; she was one of thirty-nine victims. Her body is currently being transported back to Israel so she can receive a proper burial. ^[1]
