On February 2, 2017, Liam and Preston Taylor were both arrested and charged in connection to the disappearance of Sarah Stern following recent developments in the investigation since she was last seen on December 2, 2016.
McAtasney allegedly strangled Stern while trying to steal money from her on December 2, 2016, and then took her body to the Route 35 Bridge in Belmar, New Jersey and threw her body over the side.
Taylor helped McAtasney move and dispose of Stern's body.
