Personal
Leyla's grandfather has been staring at Istanbul for generations and her maternal family is of Turkish origin who immigrated from Thessaloniki in the 1900s. Her paternal grandmother came from a Levantines family who immigrated from Pesaro, Italy to Ottoman Empire in the 1800s. [12]
She is presently dating Egyptian footballer Tarek Amer.
Education
Leyla Tanlar graduated from Liceo Italiano di Istanbul She studied in the "Department of Media and Visual Arts" at Koç University and minored in Archaeology and Art History. Leyla attended acting classes at Akademi 35Buçuk and University of California, Los Angeles. [12]

Leyla has more than 1,200,000 followers on her Instagram and 40,000 on Twitter. She began her television career by playing the role of Cansu on the show, Paramparça. She's also played the character "Esleme" on the TV series "Mehmed The Conqueror". [1]
