Kidnapping of Jaddah Rodgers
On December 28, 2016 Lawrence Asbury kidnapped Jaddah Rodgers a 16-year old girl. An AMBER Alert was issued and Jaddah is believed to be in extreme danger. He abducted her at a Walgreens in Beckley, West Virginia at 6 p.m.
On December 29, 2016 at around 2 p.m, Jaddah Rodgers was found safe in Raleigh, West Virginia. According to Amber Alert, he had forced her into his car and assaulted her. At around 4:50 p.m Lawrence was taken into custody by police.
Beckley Police Sgt. Seneca Webb identified the girl as Jaddah Rodgers, an African American who is 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs 115 pounds with braided black hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a gray hoodie and blue jeans.
Police believe that she was taken by Asbury according to the alert; they described him only as a 20-year-old white male.
They may be traveling in a 1995, two-door red Chevrolet Blazer (S-10), West Virginia license 5ZZ 359. The vehicle was last seen traveling on Neville Street, heading westbound toward Virginia Street.

Arrest
On December 29, 2016, Asbury was arrested and taken into custody.
