McBride co-owns King Jerry Lawler's Hall of Fame Bar & Grille with her husband Jerry Lawler. The couple lives together in east Memphis, Tennessee.
McBride is 39 years younger than Lawler.
Domestic Assault
Lauryn McBride and her fiance Jerry Lawler were both arrested after they had a violent dispute at their Memphis home on June 17, 2016.
Lauryn alleges that Jerry put a gun on their kitchen table and told her to kill herself. Jerry claims that Lauryn brought the gun and threatened to kill herself. The argument started after Jerry returned from a wrestling event and he believed that Lauryn had drank too much alcohol after going to a friend's house to watch basketball.
Jerry says McBride kicked him in the groin, threw a candle at him and scratched his face. Lauryn alleges that Jerry kicked her in the head and pushed her into the stove.
Police were called to the house early on the morning of June 17, and the couple was taken into custody at Shelby County Sheriff's Office.
After the arrest Lawler was suspended indefinitely from the WWE. The company made a statement on the matter:
WWE has zero tolerance for matters involving domestic violence, and per our policy, Jerry Lawler has been suspended indefinitely following his arrest.
