Lauren Gabrielle Simonetti is a news anchor and reporter on Fox Business Network who co-hosts the early morning business news television show, FBN:am. [1]
Early Life
Lauren Simonetti was born to Italian American parents, Janet and Raymond Simonetti of Rossville, Staten Island, New York. The family grew up celebrating Italian American traditions including the Feast of the Seven Fishes on Christmas Eve. She graduated from St. Joseph by the Sea High School in Huguenot, Staten Island. Lauren Simonetti's desire to become a television reporter came from competing in storytelling contests in grade school where she would memorize a story and tell it to a large audience. Lauren's mother, Janet seeing her skill in storytelling was the first one who told Lauren she should consider becoming a television reporter.

Lauren Simonetti i married her husband Mark Cubrilo in October, 2011 in a Christian wedding ceremony at the Crystal Plaza in Livingston, New Jersey. Her husband Mark is a satellite engineer and field engineer with Fox News Channel. The couple spent their honeymoon vacationing in Tanzania and Zanzibar in Africa. Lauren and her husband Mark both live and work in Manhattan, New York. In October, 2015 the couple had their first child, a daughter they named Rae Vivian Cubrilo. In December, 2017 Lauren Simonetti announced she was pregnant with the couple's second child who is expected to be born in spring, 2018.

Between being a mother and a business news anchor Lauren sleeps only fours hours a night.
Lauren Simonetti's is passionate about cooking and dining specifically with Italian cuisine. She also enjoys travel and has visited more than 40 different countries.

Lauren Simonetti graduated summa cum laude from The George Washington University (GWU) in Washington, D.C with a bachelor of arts in English. At GWU, she was a presidential scholar and spent a semester at sea, sailing around the world and studying in 10 countries. also earned a master of arts degree in English and Comparative Literature from Columbia University in Manhattan.
Career
Lauren Simonetti first joined Fox Business Network (FBN) in September 2007 as a field producer and became a reporter for the network in September 2011. [1] Lauren currently co-hosts the early morning business news program, FBN:am with Cheryl Casone. The show airs at 5AM/ET Monday through Friday.
Since joining FBN, Lauren Simonetti has covered major economic news events such as the 2008 financial crisis, the bankruptcy of Lehman Brothers, the impact of the BP oil spill, the Bernie Madoff ponzi scheme, as well as major Initial Public Offerings (IPO) including the Facebook IPO. She has spent time interviewing traders and executives at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), NASDAQ, NYMEX, and the CME.
Before joining the network, Lauren Simonetti served as a business news writer and producer for CNN. Her final two years at the network were at the NYSE, where she was the sole business producer.
Awards
In May 2014, Lauren Simonetti was awarded the Italian-American Achievement Award by the NYPD Columbia Association.
