Lauren Miranda (born 1994) is an American math teacher who formerly taught at Bellport Middle School in Long Island. ^[1]

Lauren Miranda grew up in Long Island with the aspirations of being a teacher at an early age.

She graduated in 2015.

Miranda taught in Bellport Middle School beginning in 2015, three months after graduating from college.

She was terminated in March 2019.

In March 2019, Lauren Miranda was fired from teaching position after a student allegedly came into possession of an old topless photo of her without her consent.

In mid-January of 2019, she received a text message from her colleague who taught in a different building.

She told her that that a naked photo of her and that her picture is being distributed amongst the students.

According to Miranda, she was called into the principal's office where she was questioned.

In possession of the photo at the time, the principal spun the computer around and asked her to confirm that the photo in question was taken by her.

Miranda was later placed on administrative leave and was eventually terminated. She found out she was fired via text message, when a South Country Central School District unit representative notified her that they voted in favor of her termination.

The photo was originally taken in 2016 and sent to her romantic partner who also worked at the school.

Miranda has stated she does not know how a student came into possession of the photo.

She is currently seeking $3 million in damages from the South Country Central School District.
