Laura Ramos is an American school teacher based in Milford, Connecticut ^[1] She is a former special education teacher at Central High School. ^[1]

Ramos received her teaching qualifications from Southern Connecticut State University with a Master’s in special education. Ramos is certified to teach children with autism. ^[1]

She is married with one child.

On June 20, 2017, Ramos was arrested and charged with second-degree sexual assault after she engaged in a sexual relationship with an 18-year-old male student. ^[1]

Officers were called to Central High School on June 9, 2017, following a complaint of a sexual assault. ^[1] A student at the school told a teacher, Ramos had been having sexual intercourse with one of her students in the special education program. ^[1]

Ramos told authorities she had a relationship with the victim from Dec. 23, 2016 until April 2017.

They had sexual intercourse a handful of times in her car and at the victim's home.

She also had asked the student to obtain her cannabis. ^[1]

Ramos'bond was set at $50,000. She is due back in court on June 28, 2017. ^[1]
