Larnell Malik Bruce is 19 year old African American Oregonian who was murdered by White supremacist, Russell Courtier.

He had move to Gresham, Oregon just six months ago.

Bruce has had a few run ins with the law in the past year.

Death

On midnight August 10th, 2016, as Bruce charged his phone and socialized with some friends and passersby, an altercation emerged and escalated quickly when Russell Courtier arrived in his red Jeep Wrangler with his girlfriend, Colleen Hunt. 

The two began to have a fist fight as Hunt cheered him on.

Russell Courtier gained leverage and smashed Bruce's head into the front window of the convenience store.

After, Bruce chose to pull out a knife to defend himself, Courtier and Hunt decided to step away and return to the Jeep.

Bruce stood and did his best to get himself home before being chased by the red Jeep driven by Courtier with Hunt as his passenger.

Security camera footage shows the teen doing his best to zigzag away from the SUV.

The couple ran over with the red jeep as he tried to cross the street, and left him there.

He suffered tremendous injuries.

When cops found Bruce, blood flowed from his nose and ears from the injuries received to his brain.

He survived for a few more days at the hospital before passing away.

The cops describe Bruce's knife as machete-like.

Authorities are not sure why the altercation took place and have yet to release a statement.
