Kyle Thomson was a 22-year-old student at Iowa State and studied criminal justice. He originally hails from Pleasant Hill, Iowa and played football in high school. [-1]Kyle is remembered for being a dedicated person, especially with weightlifting, and for having a big heart for his friends.

Death

On December 26th, Thomson was bench-pressing 315 lbs when the barbell slipped through Thomson's hands and landed on his neck.

The incident happened at Elite Edge Transformation Center in Ankeny, Iowa and a spotter was present at the time. Thomson was declared dead at the hospital. [2]
