Education
Varagur graduated from John P. Stevens High School in the class of 2011. She went on to attend Harvard University, where she received a Bachelor's degree in English, Economics, and French.
Career
Her work has been published by The Guardian, The Atlantic, The New York Times , The New York Review of Books , The Financial Times, The New Republic , Foreign Policy (magazine) , NPR , The Daily Beast , CNN , Voice of America , and other outlets.
Varagur's work has also been translated into multiple languages.
Her reporting on Gulf money and the global Salafi movement was funded by the Pulitzer Center for Crisis Reporting and she has reported on Buddhism in India with support from the International Reporting Project.
