After that, he asked her out and they began dating, this led to them falling in love.
Josh finally proposed to her at Sheep Meadow in Central Park and they got married on October 21, 2005, in the island of Key West, which she has said is her favorite holiday destination. [2]
The wedding was very private, with very little guests present.
She showed off the wedding dress in an episode for RHONY where she wore to renew their wedding vows.
They currently have two kids together, a boy named Cassius Taekman (born 2010) and a girl named Kingsley Taekman (born 2013).
When her daughter Kingsley was four months old, she was unable to roll over as other children do, so she took her to the doctors.
The doctors suggested she engages her in some physical therapy.
She later explained that her Kingsley is perfectly fine, she was just developmentally delayed
“I think that’s almost harder for a mom because people ask me, ‘well why does she need therapy, and you’re kinda like, ‘well, you know, she just needs a little extra help.'”[2]
She loves her kids and enjoys posting pictures of her and her “mini-me” on her Instagram while out on the streets of NYC.
They are to celebrate their 16 years anniversary in October, their marriage wasn’t always blissful.

Dr. Ryan Fuller was the therapist they went to see, Kristen went first, and confessed that one of the major problems she was facing with Josh was communication.
Dr. Ryan suggested that each of them speak something good about each other first, before going into picking out problems.
Josh told the therapist
“Kristen has a tendency to spend a lot of time and energy in anxiety around really small things, that at the end of the day aren’t that meaningful.”
Although they were almost about to separate, things began to turn out for the better after the therapy.
