Kris Caudilla is a Jacksonville, Florida native who was convicted of one count DUI manslaughter in 2010.
Caudilla was driving with a blood-alcohol level of 0.158 when he drove into Sheriff Deputy James Anderson Jr.'s patrol car.
Anderson died in the hospital and Caudilla pled guilty to the charges.
Caudilla was sentenced to the maximum sentence 15 years in prison.
In 2016 Caudilla worked with the non-profit, We Save Lives, on an anti drinking-and-driving campaign.
This involved placing live video screens in the mirrors of bar's restrooms and having Caudilla speak with intoxicated patrons who might potentially think of driving home.
