Kozen Sampson

Kozen Sampson is a simple Buddhist monk who lives a celibate lifestyle, eats a vegetarian diet, and attempts to live the Dharma in all that he does.

He is a co-founder of the Trout Lake Abbey retreat.

In March 2016, he was attacked by a man for being mistaken for a Muslim.

[3]He was getting out of his car on a side street in Hood River, OR when a 20-something man yelled, "Hey!" at him and then kicked his car door in, with it hitting Kozen in the head.

The man then yelled, "Fucking Muslim!".
