Koosha Azim

Koosha Azim (born January 3, 2003) is an entrepreneur, artist, record producer, and financial technologist. Born and raised in the San Franciso Bay Area, he was first recognized for co-authoring several cryptocurrency publications.

He is the Director of Technology at the Africa Blockchain University where he organizes African blockchain events and speaks at online lectures.

Early Life & Education

Koosha Azim was born in Palo Alto, California. He currently attends Los Gatos High School and West Valley College, where he studies economics, mathematics, and physics.

After spending his freshman and sophomore year at Los Gatos High School, Koosha was accepted to the West Valley Middle College program to compete his high school studies in college.

At West Valley College, he was invited and accepted in the college's Honors program and WVC chapter of AGS (Alpha Gamma Sigma), the only California Community College Honor Society.

Family

Koosha Azim is the youngest son of Jalal Azim and Beheshteh Mostaghni.

Koosha's parents and extended family all originated from Tehran, Iran and Mashhad, Iran.

Journalism

In August 2018, Koosha co-founded Crypto Weekly News. He ran the project with two other co-founders based in London and New York City while studying and living in California. Under his management, the Crypto Weekly News (CWN) writing staff produced hundreds of articles covering news and updates in the cryptocurrency industry. CWN was eventually shut down in April 2019 due to the executive team’s time constraints.

In June 2019, Koosha joined the Think Media Nigeria team as the new Editor-In-Chief.

At Think Media, Koosha currently leads the marketing and content team on content creation and better English writing practices.

Additionally, he and other Think Media leaders advise a group of over seventy African tech enthusiasts and potential business minds.

Artwork

Koosha Azim is also an abstract artist.

Much of his pieces are created with acrylic on canvas or pastel on paper.

In February 2018, his painting "Mother's Tongue" got featured in the Children's Discovery Museum of San Jose.[5]

Azim's artwork has also been used to raise money for the Raymond J. Fisher Middle School music program along with other local charitable events in Los Gatos, California.

As of 2020, Azim has begun selling unique digital artwork as Non-Fungible Token (NFT) s. He also branched into expressionist pastel and charcoal work.

Blockchain

As Bitcoin increased in value near the end of 2017, a fourteen-year-old Koosha discovered cryptocurrencies and began investing. After the market crash of 2018, he started advising and interning for startups in the cryptocurrency space including GoodBit ( 2017 ), United Restaurant, and (2018 -). In late 2018, Koosha founded Rupsure which he still operates out of the San Francisco Bay Area with colleagues across the globe.

In 2019, Koosha began working with African blockchain communities, primarily the Africa Blockchain University.

He developed the Africa BU website while creating suitable content to attract new people to their blockchain events.

The Africa Blockchain University team has executed community blockchain events in Zimbabwe, TOGO, Ghana, Kenya, Cameroon, Nigeria, Zambia, Botswana, Rwanda, Uganda, and South Africa. They impacted hundreds of African entrepreneurs spanning the of Africa.

2020 Complete Stablecoin Guide

In late 2019, Alyze Sam collaborated with Koosha Azim to pack ongoing Stablecoin research into a commercial product.

Being the Editor & Research Scientist for the World Ethical Data Forum granted Sam the opportunity to oversee further research with teenage Economics student Koosha Azim to cover more details about various topics featured in their book.

In early 2020, the two wrote and published 2020 Complete Stablecoin Guide.[26]

The 2020 Complete Stablecoin Guide took the #1 New Release spot on Amazon for "90 minute business & money short reads." It earned endorsements from John McAfee and various other blockchain moguls.

Over 200 free copies of the book were distributed at the Washington Elite Blockchain & AI Summit and the ETHDenver to various blockchain community leaders and industry trailblazers.

"2020 Complete Stablecoin Guide" made it to BookAuthority's Best New Digital Currency eBooks at the #1 spot. [27]

Monte Sereno City Council

Koosha Azim is an appointed youth commissioner at the City of Monte Sereno, California. He began his term in 2017 and his been active leader in the Monte Sereno community ever since. Over his time in the commission, Koosha has been involved in several projects including developing a "Keep Kids Alive, Drive 25" Campaign to encourage drivers to obey various speed limits; co-authoring an ordinance to ban smoking on city property; co-organizing a hygiene kit drive for 67 students in need; and co-hosting the annual city picnic. Additionally, Azim and his fellow Youth Commissioners also volunteer at local organizations, such as Loaves and Fishes (a food kitchen) and Village Harvest (picking fruit for food banks).

In 2018, Koosha was appointed as the only youth member of the Monte Sereno Better Streets Commission.

He served a two-year term from 2018-2020.

The purpose of the Commission is to advise the City Manager on the design, operations and maintenance of the Monte Sereno street system by putting people first, considering pedestrians, bicyclists, transit, traffic controls, lighting, vehicular circulation and parking.
