Kodie Williams, better known as Kodie Shane, is an American rapper and Singer based out of Atlanta, Georgia. [10] Her most popular songs include "Drip on My Walk", "Hold up", and "Start a Riot." [6]

Kodie was born in Atlanta and lived in Chicago during her childhood. [10] Her father, Danny C. Williams, was a member of Rick, Ran & Dan, a men’s vocal group based out of Detroit. [5] Her aunt is R&B singer Cherrelle of “I Didn’t Mean to Turn You On” fame. [5] Shane’s sister Brandi was a member of Blaque which became a platinum selling girl group. [5] Kodie's older brother is Lil Wop. [10]

Kodie embarked on her music career when she was 14-years-old, working as a writer for the Atlanta production studio Greystone Park. [5] Early in her career, Kodie's music was shown to Coach K who would mentor her. [5] A couple years later, she was introduced to Lil Yachty and the two quickly bonded. She would become a part of Lil Yachty's collective, The Sailing Team. [11] She has collaborated with Lil Uzi Vert and Lil Yachty on the song "Hold Up". [10]
