Lauren Abedini, better known as KITTENS, is a DJ, Producer, and Intersectional Feminist based in Los Angeles, California.

Abedini was born and raised in Los Angeles.
[7]Her father is from Iran and her mother is from the San Francisco Bay Area; they divorced when she was 2-years-old.
[7]Growing up, Abedini describes herself as introverted, quirky and curious.
[7]Abedini graduated from college where she majored in marketing and minored in women's studies.
[7]In college, she did make up and started DJing halfway through college.
A pivotal moment in her career was booking and doing marketing for a local LA nightclub and they let her be the resident DJ where she received a lot of practice.
[7]Upon finishing college, Abedini gave herself six months to pursue a career as a DJ full-time and if she was not making ends meet then she would get a normal job.
[7]She has been a DJ ever since.
KITTENS music is a mix of low grinding electronic beats, heavy rap, and future beat sounds.
[3]She has earned cosigns from prominent people in the music industry including Usher, Kid Cudi, Skrillex, A-Trak, and Salva.
[2]She has been named a ‘Rising Producer/DJ Shaping the LA Club Scene’ by Mixmag and The Hundreds, Source Magazines '25 Women To Watch,' and featured in DJ Magazine’s infamous TOP 100 issue as a ‘Fresh Act On The Rise’.
KITTENS is also a member of LA collective, Athletixx, along with Hoodboi, Falcons, and Promnite who are pioneering a sound they’ve termed "LA Club,” consisting of eclectic and heavy hitting alternative club music.
