Kimberly Lynn Taylor was a resident of Arbuckle who was found dead inside of the home of Martin Ehrke. ^{[3] [2] [4] [4]}

Taylor was a native of the state of California, and lived in the city of Arbuckle before her passing. ^[0]She was the roommate of Jessica Lynn Mazak, who was found dead at the same residence where they lived. ^[2]

In the early morning of Thursday, January 25th, 2018, a man called the police and authorities to inform he had arrived at his house to a bloody scene.

The man found blood splattered all across the walls of the house.

^[3]He and his dead roommates lived in the secondary house of a farm located on the property of the alleged killer's father.

The alleged killer, Martin Ehrke, was not at the scene when the

man arrived.

Once they got a search warrant for the property, the police arrived at 6000 block of Hillgate Road, and found Kimberly Lynn Taylor's body inside of a chest freezer located inside the bedroom of Ehrke. ^[4]Investigators would find the dead body of Jessica Lynn Mazak submerged in a pond near the perperty area. ^[3]

The roommate had not seen both women since Wednesday afternoon, when he saw them for lunch.

The cause of death has not been revealed yet by the coroner, but believe that the women each died within 24 hours of each other.

Deputies located Ehrke in Colusa, about a 15-minute drive from the crime scene. Deputies took him into custody, interviewed him, and then booked him into jail on homicide charges. ^{[5] [6]}
