Killings and Arrest

On February 13, 2017, Kevin was taken into custody after an hours-long police standoff at Del Rio Village, a townhouse complex in Sunset, Florida.

Dozens of officers and a SWAT team responded to the complex in the 7700 block of Balboa Street after they received a call of shots fired around 11: 00 a.m.

Police negotiated with Kevin inside one of the homes, and he later surrendered after more than five hours inside.

Officers later found the bodies of a 40-year-old woman and her 15-year-old daughter inside the home.
