He grew up and went to high school in Dallas, but didn't finish school.

Berry was identified as one of two victims who were shot and killed during a shooting at an off campus party near Texas A & M Commerce.

The shooting happened around midnight Saturday October 26, 2019, outside Greenville, 15 miles (24 kilometers) southwest of a satellite campus of the Texas A&M University System.

Authorities believe the shooter may have been targeting just one person at the party of about 750 people, and that others may have been shot at random.
