Keri KC Gauf was an American native of Washington State remembered for her beautiful smile and for being a giving person who before she died had visited Puerto Rico to help with the Hurricane Relief. ^{[15] [15] [0]}

Born and raised in the state of Washington, she grew up near the Ferndale

and Bellingham areas where she lived for most of her life. ^[11]Her parents were Mary Kay and William Jay Gauf and she was the youngest of nine siblings. ^[11]

In 2007 she married Andrew Curtis Ridenour whom she has two children with.

The two later separated.

In January of 2017, she married Anthony McClanahan after becoming friends while living in the Bellingham area. The two later moved to Arizona. ^{[12] [7]}

During the 6 months of marriage, according to Keri's sister, Heather, the relationship turned verbally and later physically abusive.

After she missed the attendance of a donation, the two began arguing.

McClanahan allegedly punched her in the face.

This led to keri moving back to Washington.

but McClanahan continued to pursue her and incessantly contacted her.

Keri had no interest in getting back together with McClanahan but the two remained close.

After McClanahan was bailed due to kidnapping his son, she decided to help him until he can get back to his feet.

During this time, they travelled to Puerto Rico as part of a hurricane relied they were a part of. They also travelled to Nevada before settling in Park City, Utah. ^[10]

On November 2nd, 2017, while Anthony and Keri stayed at a rented condominium in Park City, a violent struggle between the couple ensued. During an altercation with his wife, Anthony used a knife that Keri worn sheathed in a nylon paracord bracelet. During the struggle, Anthony managed to cut her in many areas around the neck, and ultimately slicing her throat. Instantly, she succumbed to her death. ^[10]

Neighbors have stated that they saw Anthony crawling from the spot where he killed his wife until he could flag down police.

He initially offered a different statement until investigators found evidence of what had happened.

He has been arrested and has been charged with the murder of his wife.
