Kelsey Annese was a 21-year old SUNY Geneseo student who was killed by her ex-boyfriend Colin Kingston in a murder-suicide in January 2016. Kelsey and Colin had dated for 3 years before she broke up with him, prompting the murder-suicide. [undefined]
Colin stabbed Kelsey and her friend while they slept.
Kelsey Ann Annese was born in Rochester, New York and raised in Webster, New York to parents are Krista and Ron Annese. She has two siblings, Dylan and Grace. Her mother, Krista, also attended and graduated from Geneseo in 1986 and father, Ron, played Basketball at Geneseo and graduated in 1985. According to legend and testified by her grandmother, she is related to Isaac Newton. [undefined]
During her time in Geneseo, she was majoring in Childhood with Special education and Spanish and minors in Psychology. [undefined]
Her main hobbies include Rollerblading, Reading, and Traveling. [undefined]
She started playing basketball on a travel team in sixth grade.
She wears the number 32 because it was her dad’s number when he played basketball at Geneseo.
Her favorite athletic-related moment was making it to the Sweet 16 in 2015.
She decided that she didn’t want to play basketball freshman year of college, but missed it so much that she tried out as a sophomore.
She lists her AAU coach, Andy Paris (who played at Geneseo with her dad), for having the most influence on her playing career because of his encouragement and making her realize that she had the potential to be a leader.
