Education
Kelly Sadler graduated from Hamilton College in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts in Chinese and International Relations, and went on to earn a Master of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University in 2007. [1]
Career
Between college and graduate school worked as a Managing Consultant at Kaiser Associates. Upon graduating from Medill in 2007, Sadler worked as a reporter at Bloomberg until 2012. Following a brief stint as a freelance journalist, Sadler was hired by The Washington Times in 2014 as an investigative reporter and editor. Sadler joined the White House in 2017 as Special Assistant to the President Donald J. Trump, and was dismissed in June 2018. [1]
Criticism of John McCain
After terminally ill United States Senator John McCain of Arizona declared his opposition to the nomination of Gina Haspel for CIA Director in May 2018, Kelly Sadler dismissed his objections in a closed-door meeting by saying "it doesn't matter, he's dying anyway." The White House has not denied the comments made by Sadler, and she has been criticized across the political spectrum for her perceived callousness and insensitivity.

Sadler is married to Frank Sadler, who previously managed the 2016 Carly Fiorina presidential campaign.
