Dr. Kelly Brogan is a Manhattan-based psychiatrist who holistic women's health. She is the author of the New York Times bestselling book, A Mind of Your Own, and co-editor of the landmark textbook, Integrative Therapies for Depression.
Early Life & Education
In 2000, Brogan graduated from M.I.T. with a Bachelor's degree and M.A. in Cognitive Science, with a focus in Systems Neuroscience. [1] Subsequently, in 2004, she earned her M.D. from Cornell University Medical College.
She completed her psychiatric training and fellowship at the NYU Medical Center.
Career
In June 2008, Kelly Broganopened her own private practice.
From that point forward, she has given her opportunity to psychological wellness for ladies, including antenatal despondency, post birth anxiety, and manifestation the executives during and after pregnancy.
Her ability is in all encompassing consideration including nourishment for pregnant ladies, breathwork, pre-birth nutrients, and non-drug treatment choices.

Books
A Mind of Your Own
In 2016, Kelly Brogan published a book entitled A Mind of Your Own: The Truth about Depression and How Women Can Heal Their Bodies to Reclaim Their Lives. It is a book centered on the issue of women facing depression and the symptoms leading to it. Brogan attempts to debunk the idea that it is caused by a chemical imbalance and cured by antidepressants.
As a result, Brogan wrote the book to help people change their perceptions of depression and prescription drugs and to focus more on wellness instead of suppressing the symptoms of it.
She provides a plan that aims activate one's own healing process and to feel healthier within 30 days.
Integrated Therapies for Depression
After publishing her book, she edited the textbook, Integrated Therapies for Depression: Redefining Models for Assessment, Treatment and Prevention. The book summarizes emerging theories and research findings on various non-pharmaceutical therapies to treat mood disorders. It describes concepts of inflammation, genetics, hormonal imbalance, environmental stress, gastrointestinal conditions, and nutritional deficiencies and their possible link to the pathogenesis of mood disorders.
