Konno spent the first six years of his career in the investment sector at SoftBank where he focused on corporate strategy and development, he then went on to work in the finance sector for a little over a year. During his time at Softbank Konno worked on many large deals estimated at over $60 billion USD. Some of the more esteemed M&A projects he worked on included Brightstar, Snapdeal, and SoftBank's 70% acquisition of Sprint. He also established SoftBank’s venture capital arm in the US and Southeast Asia, financing the $31 billion dollar acquisition of the world's largest chip architecture developer, ARM Holdings .   
In 2016 Konno spent two years as the CFO of Quoine before becoming the Representative Director & Head of CEO Office.
