Katherina Mañalac, who goes by Kat, has been a partner at Y Combinator since April 14, 2014. She is currently the YC Director of Outreach; Kat is responsible for strategically reaching out to prospective founders and overseeing public relations for Y Combinator. ^[1] She is a graduate of Northwestern University with a BS in Communications.

Career

Prior to joining Y Combinator, Kat was the Chief of Staff to Alexis Ohanian, co-founder of Reddit. ^[1] She also was at WIRED Magazine managing brand and strategy and Samsung Electronics where she played a prominent role in user acquisition and engagement.
