Katherine Burdick is a staff attorney at the Juvenile Law Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. ^[1] She focuses on advancing education rights and improving outcomes for youth in the child welfare and juvenile justice systems. ^[1]

Kate graduated magna cum laude from Brown University, where she double concentrated in Public Policy and American Institutions and Hispanic Literature and Culture. She graduated from the UC Berkeley School of Law in 2009. During law school, Kate focused on child and family advocacy and conducted two internships at Legal Services for Children. She also has a passion for international human rights and immigration work, which she honed through clinics and an internship at the Myrna Mack Foundation in Guatemala City, Guatemala. ^[1]
