Kate Anolue a trained midwife of vast experience has been elected the mayor of Enfield Council London. She is from Nanka, in Anambra state eastern Nigeria, A widow with four children. She was first elected a Councillor representing upper Edmonton in 2002. She is a labour party member on whose platform she has been contesting her elective positions. She was the deputy mayor to the outgoing mayor Christiana During. She is also a lawyer. She was the Royal college of midwives steward for North Middlesex University Hospital midwives. She is a panel member of health scrutiny, member racial equality council Enfield, woman officer for labour Party and Vice president association of women Councillors British Nigeria.
