Karla Redditte is an American award-winning journalist who works as a news anchor, host, and reporter for WWB T- V in Richmond, Virginia, United States. She works in the evening and anchors NBC 12 News at 5, 5:30, 6, and 11. Before joining WWBT, Karla worked as a news anchor and reporter at WAFF (TV).[1][2]
Personal Life and Education
Karla Redditte was born in Memphis, Tennessee. Details about Karla’s date of birth are not yet known, however, she celebrates her birthday on February 25 of every year according to post. She likes to keep her personal matters away from the public eye making it difficult to know her age.[3]
Karla went to Loyola University in New Orleans where she received her undergraduate degree for Bachelor of Arts in communications. After further studies at the University of University of Missouri, she graduated with a Master's degree in Journalism.[4]
Career
From 2002– 2006, Karla worked as a news reporter, host, and weekend anchor for WLOX in Biloxi, Mississippi.
Between 2006 – 2009, she was an anchor and reporter for WTOC-TV based in Savannah, Georgia.
Currently, Karla serves at WWBT-TV in Richmond, Virginia where she joined in September 2012. She serves as a news anchor and reporter. She also anchors the NBC 12 News at 5, 5:30, 6, and 11.
Other than journalism, Karl has also worked as a Public Information Manager at Savannah-Chatham County Public Schools System (SCCPSS) where she communicated information throughout SCCPSS and local media. In 2009, she was a part-time speech instructor for Savannah State University.
Furthermore, Karla is also a member of several organizations, including the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
She has an admirable fashion style such that she has been featured in an article for InStyle Magazine for wearing her natural hair on-air.
