Karen Rogers is an American journalist and meteorologist who is currently working as a weather and weekday traffic anchor for 6abc Action News Mornings. Before joining 6abc Tv, Karen worked for WHSP-TV in Vineland. [1]

Karen Rogers was born on March 23, 1970, in New Jersey, United States. She celebrates her birthday on March 23 every year. She has nine siblings.[2]

Rogers’s mother is known as Kathryn Rogers, who passed away at 90 after a tough battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

She was a mother of 10, a grandmother of 23, and a great-grandmother of nine.

Karen told of how her mom faced her battle with Alzheimer’s with dignity and humor.[3]

Education

Karen went for her high school education in Washington High School and then to Rutgers University where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communication and sociology. She then went to UK where she attained a degree in Broadcast Journalism from wales University.

Karen also graduated with a certificate in public relations from Rowan University.

Later, she earned a certificate in Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University.

Marital Life

Karen Rogers is married to Kevin Rogers.

The couple tied knots in 2001 at the chapel of Rutgers University and are blessed with two daughters and one son.

She has not disclosed the names of her kids either.

According to her posts on Facebook, she once posted saying how one of her daughters had a hearing impairment at two and was diagnosed with type two diabetes at 7 years.

Her husband Kevin Rogers is a Retired Registered Investment Advisor, CFP, Stockbroker.

Career

Karen Rogers worked for the WHSP-TV in Vineland, New Jersey and moored the day by day news, after her graduation. She secured everyday news cut-ins, political meetings with pioneers in her month to month appearance on Congressional Report and furthermore facilitated week after week talk shows.[4]

She joined the Philadelphia station in 1996 as a columnist and show maker. Karen immediately joined the ACCU-Weather group and started climate expecting calls.

During her time in the news station, she co-presented FYI Philly, a week after week thrilling stimulation program that shows on Saturday evenings on 6abc.

Karen engaged with some 6abc uncommon works throughout the years, including with co-presenting "The Philadelphia Home Show", and the spreads for the 6abc "Thanksgiving Day Parade’4th of July and the Philadelphia Flower Program".

She fills in as a meteorologist and traffic moderator for Action News Mornings on 6abc.[6]

In April 2018, Karen had a tad of fun on Take Your Child To Work Day.

She brought her child alongside her to Action News Mornings.

Karen's Achievements

Besides her professional work, Karen also supports youth and children through the ‘Child Assault Preservation Program’.

She provides empowerment skills for reporting and preventing abuse.

Karen also regularly conducts charitable and donation programs and is involved with an organization like the local Rotary Club.

Karen, along with her husband Kevin, often attends various children’s charity and provides valuable gifts on different occasions.
