Karen Parks is a reporter who currently work for WFTV Channel 9 Eyewitness News in Orlando, Florida. She has worked as a reporter/bureau chief across several broadcasting station like WJXX, WBFF, and so on. She is a graduate of Spelman College. She is good at managing the flow of information between organizations and the public by gaining exposure to audiences, using topics of public interest and newsworthy information.

Karen Parks is a native of Atlanta and she attended Spelman College where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in English. She earned a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education and Reading with a GPA of 3.9 from Clark Atlanta University. She also attended the University of Maryland College Park.

Karen Parks worked at Capital Correspondent at Capital News Service, Tallahassee, Florida between August 1998 and August 1999. He left Capital News Service to join WJXX-ABC 25, Jacksonville Florida, as an anchor/reporter in 1999. Asides from developing and reporting news for daily newscast, he also execute special investigative assignments and managed editors and writers for the station.

Karen Park joined WBFF-FOX, Baltimore as an anchor/reporter in June 2000, she spent more than 15 years at WBFF and while at the station, she gathered facts, wrote press release, wrote online articles, video scripts and other communication materials to promote education, health and community. She left WBFF for Baltimore City Public school in September 2015.

She was the Executive Director of Communications for Baltimore City Public School before October 2015 and August 2016.

As the director of communication, she planned developed and coordinate communication strategies and public information programs for the school.

Karen Parks joined WFTV Channel 9 as a News Reporter in August 2017. ^[5][1][2]

Karen Parks currently resides in Florida. She is member of National Association of Black Journalist, Georgia Association of Educators and Delta Sigma Theta Service Soronity
