Karen Lehr is an American multi-media journalist who was born and raised in Florida, United States. Currently, Karen is an anchor and reporter for KIVI/KNIN Boise, Idaho, in their program 6 On Your Side. She joined the 6 On Your Side news team in June 2013. ^[1]

She and her husband, named Porter, got married in October 2018.

The couple loves living in Boise, Idaho. Lehr, South Florida-native, still gets excited about Idaho’s changing seasons and enjoys gardening in her backyard and hiking in the Boise foothills with her dogs.^[2][3]

Karen attended the University of Central Florida where she graduated with honors and a major in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Crime, Law, and Deviance.

During her college years, Karen interned at the CBN and Fox affiliates in Orlando, Florida.

Karen joined the Idaho News 6 news team in June 2013 after living in Florida her whole life.

She currently anchors and produces weekend newscasts, and reports on Idaho's opioid epidemic weekly in our Finding Hope series on Monday nights.

Karen was honored to receive the Idaho State Broadcaster's Association "Best Reporter" award in both 2017 and 2018.^[4]
