From the poor section of of the small town of Fortaleza, Brazil, Almeida had a dream of becoming a psychologist. But she did not have the money to attend school and her application for a scholarship was denied. She had just lost her job, her parents got divorced and suddenly she was forced to find a job.

At the encouragement of a friend, she began using her looks and her natural ability to bring out her personality in picture to her advantage and began posting photos of her on Instagram.
