In March 2016, a video recording Heady throwing a football at a Police Vehicle patrolling the beach went viral on social media.
The vehicle belonged to Gulf Shores Police Department. Heady was on spring break when the incident occurred. [1]
Police quickly identified and issued a warrant for his arrest via social media.
He was facing an arrest warrant for harassment after a now viral video appeared to show him on the beach hitting a Gulf Shores police car with a football.
Authorities responded by saying the following statement on its Facebook: "A Spring Breaker thought it would be a great idea to throw a football at a GSPD vehicle patrolling the beaches of Gulf Shores". Police posted a photo of the warrant, which states Kameron Lane Heady is facing $1,000 bond, it says: "Hey Kameron. We found you. Great arm. Bad decision," the department posted on Facebook. The post called for Heady to turn himself in but it was not clear Monday if he had been arrested or surrendered to authorities. The department posted the video the same day city officials announced alcohol was banned from the beach for the duration of spring break. [undefined] [666666]
