Kaisha Chu (August 24, 1994 - December 14, 2016) was a first year grad student at Seattle University. ^[1] Chu was known for her athleticism. She was an outstanding soccer player for Moanalua High School and Hawaii Pacific University.

Chu started on the Moanalua High School girls’ varsity soccer team as a freshman.

^[1] She was a member of three OIA championship teams and named second team all-state defender in 2012.

On December 14, 2016, Kaisha died after falling 200 feet from the Crouching Lion Trail in Ka'a'awa, Hawaii. ^[1] She was home for the holidays and had been hiking with two others when she fell. ^[1]

Rescuers had to rappel down to her. When she was found, she had no pulse and was not breathing. ^[1] She was airlifted to a landing zone at Swanzy Beach Park in Ka'a'awa, where she was pronounced dead. ^[1]
