He was born on March 28, 1995 as Kaalan Rashad Walker in Los Angeles, California. [3]
Career
As a rapper his single “It Could Happen” debuted at #13 on the iTunes Hip-Hop chart and has millions of streams across the Spotify and Apple Music platforms.
He brings with him new and creative sounds with comparisons to Kendrick Lamar and Childish Gambino. KR has a sound all his own. He his signed to Empire Records, and he has toured and performed with many artist like G-eazy, A$AP Ferg, School Boy Q, Isaiah Rashad and Waka Flocka.
He made his debut in the film "KINGS" at the Toronto Independent Film Festival starring alongside Halle Berry and Daniel Craig. He also starred in the 2018 movie produced by Future along with Director X starring the role of 'Juju' in Sony's "SUPERFLY," a remake of the 1972 crime drama.
He also started his dancing career in high school when he and a group of friends formed a dance collective called "Marvel Inc" whose specialty was in the dance style "jerking" that had taken the west coast by storm.
Marvel Inc. became widely popular throughout the city, garnering a huge following on YouTube, with several videos receiving over 2 million views.
Controversy
Recently after acting in the 2018 movie "Superfly" he has been charged with 9 counts of felony Sexual assault by the Los Angeles Police Department.
He is being accused of a series of sexual assaults that date back to 2016.
According to the LAPD, he contacted aspiring models on social media "with the premise of being hired to work professionally."
He allegedly lured the women to meet with him alone and then sexually assaulted them.
The rapper and actor is being held on over $1,000,000 bail.
