Jungle Boy (Jack Perry)
Jungle Boy (Jack Perry)
Jungle Boy (born June 15, 1997) is an American professional wrestler in All Elite Wrestling (AEW). His real name is Jack Perry.[3]
Career
Jack Perry began pursuing professional wrestling as a senior in high school.
He was first inspired to wrestle after watching the The Boogeyman eat worms on WWE programming. Jack started his career under the fighting name of Nate Coy in 2015 with Underground Empire Wrestling (UEW). His wild hair and Tarzan-like appearance eventually led to a ring announcer using the epithet 'The Jungle Boy Nate Coy', and the Jungle Boy was born. Perry recalls the event:
"...the announcer told me that he had a nickname for me and said, ‘Jungle Boy’ Nate Coy.
At first, I hated it.
I thought, ‘What did he just stick me with?’ Then I started to develop the character around the name, and I love it now.”[4]
The Jungle Boy Nate Coy has wrestled in the following promotions:[8]
Pro Wrestling Revolution (PWR)
Santino Brothers Wrestling (SBW)
Union Independent Pro Wrestling (UIPW)
Gold Rush Pro Wrestling (GRPW)
All Pro Wrestling (APW)
Blue Water Championship Wrestling (BWCW)
International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG)
Game Changer Wrestling (GCW)
Bar Wrestling
All Elite Wrestling (AEW)
All Elite Wrestling (AEW)
He is a member of the Jurassic Express tag team alongside Marko Stunt and Luchasaurus.
Both Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus made their tag team debut in February of 2019 in Southern California's indie wrestling promotion Bar Wrestling.[28]
