Jun Rao is a co-founder of Confluent. Prior to Confluent,
Career
Jun was an architect in the Kafka team while working at LinkedIn.
Prior to LinkedIn, Jun conducted research on database and distributed systems at IBM Almaden research center.
He finished Ph.D. in the Computer science Department at Columbia University in New York City in Jun. 2000.He worked at IBM Almaden Research Center in San Jose, CA.
He got his B.E. degree in the department of computer science at Tsinghua University, Beijing, China in July 1994.
Jun was also in the Database Research Group of CU.
