Jumex (Rapper)

Mark Kiessling (born February 14, 2000), known professionally as Jumex, is an American singer and rapper based in Los Angeles, California. He is best known for his breakthrough songs Trapped and Loner. As of November 2019, Trapped has over 20 million views on YouTube. His name is derived from the Mexican drink Jumex.

Early Life

Jumex was born on Valentine's Day in 2000 and grew up outside the suburbs of Chicago. [8]

Musical Career

His track Trapped premiered at Odd Future’s Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival in November 2018 and has been streamed over two million times on SoundCloud. Jumex has also received support from influential DJs such as DJ Snake, Carnage, and Flosstradamus. [7]

Jumex's musical style has been called post-hardcore and alternative rock. influenced hip-hop by music blogs. "Loner" is the title of his second single and the name of his upcoming debut project. [9]

On April 25, 2019, Jumex released the song and music video "Wish Me Death".[17] In June 2019, he released his first extended play, Loner.

Later in 2019 he toured Japan, invited by Japanese metalcore band Crossfaith to share the stage with them as well as Vein and Injury Reserve. In September he opened for Yungblud at the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles, and in November performed at the Day N Vegas Festival. The Joker-inspired video for his song "Spraypaint," released in early October 2019, featured Blink-182's Travis Barker.

Jumex's second EP, Lover, was released on November 15, 2019 followed by the videos of "Drugs" in early December and "City In The Snow" on Christmas day.[4]

He is actually working of his third EP which is rumoured to be called Boner and will be release in 2020.
