Julien Maranda is an electronic music producer who is one/third of the trio Black Tiger Sex Machine as well as a label head at Kannibalen Records. He is from Montreal. ^[1]

Maranda formed Black Tiger Sex Machine in 2009 with his friends Patrick Barry and Marc-Anre Chagnon.

At the time Maranda was a lawyer and his two friends were businessmen who were unhappy with their professions and were inspired to start BTSM after backpacking in Europe.

From 2005-2009, their passion for electronic music developed listening to the likes of Justice (band) and Boys Noize. They focused on developing a strong connection with their hometown of Montreal and threw a number of interactive local shows. In 2011, they formed Kannibalen Records and have since signed Dabin, Kai Wachi, Apashe and Lektrique.
