Juliana Arrais was the Manager of store operations and finance at Apple Inc. She hails from São Paulo and moved to the United States to intern for Apple Inc. while she also attended Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management.

She was born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil where she also attended Colégion Arbos and developed her interest in business and finance. ^[6]

Juliana attended the University of São Paulo and earned her degree in Business administration. While attending university, she was a research assistant for Roland Berger. ^[6]

After graduation, and developing her skills in finance, she went on to work for Merrill Lynch as a trainee analyst. She would go on to work for several banks as an analyst. ^[6]

She founded her own Coffee shop called M&J Cafeteria Ltda., which she sold a year later. ^[6]

She had the opportunity to intern for Apple Inc. and embarked on a mission to Silicon Valley. She did various work for the tech giant while also completing her MBA at the Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management, where she graduated in Strategy, Finance, Entrepreneurship, management and organization. ^[6]

After graduating, she secured a full-time position as a Financial analyst in Real estate operations. ^[6]

After months of confrontations and abuse from her husband, Marco Lobato Arrais, for an incident that occurred on February 13th, 2016, he was placed in a Psychiatric ward and became part of a diversion program. The program was nearing the end of a 16-week "Conflict accountability program" and psychological counseling ordered by the judge. He was placed in a 72 hour psychiatric hold. During this encounter with authorities he had told them that he was schizophrenic.

On that day of February 13th, Marco had tried to force Julianato perform oral sex and she refused.

He then physically restrained her in several instances.

She locked herself in her bedroom to call police and Marco torn down the door by forcing himself inside, and would not leave her.

On December 24th, 2016, Marco once again abused her.

This time he made an emergency 911 call around 6:43 p.m. reporting he had stabbed his wife at their home, 700 Block of North 10th Street in San Jose, California. She was rushed to hospital but by the time it was too late.

Marco was arrested and booked at the Santa Clara County Jail and held without bail. He is being held on suspicion of murder.

The couple were married for 5 years.
