Julian played as a professional basketball player in the Austrian Bundesliga Level 2 and 1 as a point guard for the Innsbruck Pilots during his early high school years in Innsbruck.
From 2003 until 2004 Julian studied in the US at Nashville Christian School to improve his basketball skills.
After he returned from the US to finish his studies in Austria, he decided to give up on his basketball career when he realised the opportunities in Kitesurfing that were just getting very popular. Julian was a professional Kitesurfer for almost 10 years from 2004 until 2013. [2]
In 2013 Julian became the author of a bestselling Kitesurfing book called "Kite-Tricktionary" which is used today by most kitesurfing students around the world. [2]
Education
During the age of 18 to 25 (from 2004 until 2013) Julian completed his medical studies at the Innsbruck Medical University where he earned a Doctor of Medicine. [2]
